World Schools Debate
Bergen County Middle School Debate League
Grades: 6-8
Mission Statement:
World Schools Debate at BCMSDL will connect middle school students with all of the benefits of the World Schools format, allowing them to improve their public speaking while strengthening their analytical skills. Students will engage in impromptu speeches on a variety of topics from ethics to international policy as they interact with thought-provoking questions and further their understanding of the world around them. World Schools Debate at BCMSDL will create a fun and open space for students to develop their debate skills without the time barriers of research and the high costs of tournament fees seen in other formats of debate. Because of this, all middle schoolers in Bergen County can access this prestigious activity.
